MJ: My understanding is that fear is a response to a real or perceived threat (like maybe even a need not being met) and that the threat is we might not have our need met? Like to not be abused? It sounds like fear can apparently come at us from an external force or an internal force (the way we think about something even if nothing external appears to be happening at the moment).
Percell: No, Fear is always external. How we choose to deal with it is internal.
MJ: Would both forces initiate the same responses from our thinking, which we then respond to physiologically and in outward action and reaction?
Percell: Concludingly, “Yes”.
