Fear of Fear

Updated: Jul 5, 2020

MJ: Is this a true statement: There is nothing to fear but fear itself?

Percell: We have learned that Fear is not a feeling or response. It is one of man’s two emotions…the opposite of Love. To be afraid is the ‘feeling’ that we attach to Fear which is nothing more than an Unknown. This is why we have the cliché, “There is nothing to fear, but fear, itself”, because once we face the fear, it is no longer unknown and, thus, can no longer exist. What might remain would be the sense of still feeling afraid of whatever the circumstance/s might be.
